ICAP Made Simple

Last year's School Finance Act mandated a CollegeInColorado.org account for every 6th-grader and an individual career and academic plan (ICAP)  by 9th grade. The Colorado Department of Education approved the rules and guidelines  for these items on January 13, 2010. College In Colorado has everything you need to meet these requirements in a free, customizable way.

Follow the link above to find all the information you need about how College In Colorado can help with you ICAP implementation.

Make sure to check out other district's ICAP implementation in the articles below.

Create Plans of Study

The Colorado Community College System and educators across the state have been working hard to create “Plans of Study” for their students. Each plan is associated with one of the 17 Colorado Career Clusters, and details a regionally-pertinent pathway to a specific career. Academic coursework recommendations for high school, as well as post-secondary study and extra-curricular activities, are provided.

College In Colorado is proud to present an online interface that allows schools, districts and students to view these plans of study within each career cluster. In addition, each Web page includes organizations and associations that operate within that cluster, a section planned for scholarship postings, a downloadable career list, as well as comprehensive resource materials to help educators use CollegeInColorado.org to create additional plans of study.
